#### **Step 1: Prepare the Beef**
Trim excess fat from the chuck roast for optimal texture.
Pat the beef dry with paper towels to help seasoning stick.
Mix all the seasonings in a small bowl. Rub the mixture all over the beef.
Let the beef sit with the seasoning for 10–15 minutes.
#### **Step 2: Sear the Meat**
Heat a pan or Instant Pot on high heat with a bit of oil.
Sear the beef chunks for 1–2 minutes per side to lock in flavors.
#### **Step 3: Cook the Beef**
Transfer the beef to an Instant Pot or slow cooker.
Add Worcestershire sauce, barbecue sauce, and liquid smoke.
Pressure cook on high for 20 minutes or slow cook on low for 6–8 hours.
Let the beef rest for 5–10 minutes before shredding.
#### **Step 4: Shred and Assemble**
Use two forks to shred the beef against the grain.
Place a generous portion of shredded beef onto toasted buns.
Add cheese, pickles, and your favorite toppings.
Serve warm with extra barbecue sauce on the side.
