Equipment

  • - Large pot with lid or popcorn maker
  • - Large mixing bowl
  • - Measuring spoons
  • - Spatula

Ingredients

  • - ½ cup popcorn kernels
  • - 2 tbsp sunflower or safflower oil
  • - ½ tsp salt
  • - ¼ cup white cheddar cheese powder
  • - 1 tbsp melted butter optional

Instructions

  • Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add 2–3 popcorn kernels to test the temperature.
  • Once the test kernels pop, add the rest of the popcorn kernels and cover the pot. Shake the pot occasionally to prevent burning.
  • When the popping slows down, remove the pot from heat and let it sit for a few seconds to ensure all kernels have popped.
  • Transfer the popcorn to a large mixing bowl.
  • While the popcorn is still warm, sprinkle the white cheddar cheese powder and salt over it. Toss well to coat evenly.
  • Optionally, drizzle with melted butter for extra flavor.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
