- ½ cup popcorn kernels - 2 tbsp sunflower or safflower oil - ½ tsp salt - ¼ cup white cheddar cheese powder - 1 tbsp melted butter optional
Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add 2–3 popcorn kernels to test the temperature.
Once the test kernels pop, add the rest of the popcorn kernels and cover the pot. Shake the pot occasionally to prevent burning.
When the popping slows down, remove the pot from heat and let it sit for a few seconds to ensure all kernels have popped.
Transfer the popcorn to a large mixing bowl.
While the popcorn is still warm, sprinkle the white cheddar cheese powder and salt over it. Toss well to coat evenly.
Optionally, drizzle with melted butter for extra flavor.
