- - 12 large fresh strawberries washed and dried
- - 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
- - 1 tsp coconut oil or vegetable oil optional, for shine
- - Toppings optional: chopped nuts, sprinkles, crushed freeze-dried fruit, white chocolate drizzle
- Wash and thoroughly dry the strawberries. Any moisture can cause the chocolate to seize. 
- In a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, melt the chocolate with the coconut oil until smooth. 
- - Microwave method: heat in 20-second intervals, stirring in between. 
- Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, holding it by the stem or using a fork/skewer. 
- Let excess chocolate drip off, then place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. 
- Add toppings immediately before the chocolate sets. 
- Let the strawberries sit at room temperature or refrigerate for 15β20 minutes until the chocolate is firm. 
- Serve chilled or at room temperature.
