2 3/4 cups 345 g all-purpose flour - 3/4 cup 170 g unsalted butter, room temperature - 1 1/4 cups 250 g granulated sugar - 3 large eggs room temperature - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract - 1 1/4 teaspoons ground nutmeg - 1/2 cup whole milk - 1/2 cup sour cream - 1 teaspoon baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda - 1/4 teaspoon salt
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt pan or 10-cup tube pan with butter or non-stick spray.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg, and salt.
In a separate bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
Gradually alternate adding the dry ingredients and the milk and sour cream, mixing until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a cake tester comes out clean and the cake is golden brown.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
