Instructions
 

  • **Prepare the Bread:**
  • - Remove hard crusts and cut bread into uniform 1-inch pieces.
  • - Ensure the bread is completely dry. If not, leave it out overnight or bake briefly.
  • **Dry the Bread:**
  • - Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  • - Spread bread pieces evenly on a baking sheet.
  • - Bake for 10-15 minutes, stirring halfway through, until crisp but not browned.
  • **Process the Breadcrumbs:**
  • - Cool bread pieces completely.
  • - Transfer to a food processor, filling no more than 2/3 full.
  • - Pulse for 30 seconds to 2 minutes until desired texture is achieved (coarse or fine).
  • **Season (Optional):**
  • - Mix in seasonings for a customized flavor.
  • **Store:**
  • - Transfer breadcrumbs to an airtight container.
  • - Store at room temperature for up to 5 days, refrigerate for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months.
