- Juice of 1 medium lemon about 2 Tbsp
- 1 Tbsp freshly grated ginger root or ½ tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp raw honey or maple syrup optional
- Pinch of ground cinnamon or cayenne optional
Heat the water: Bring 2 cups of water to a gentle simmer (or simply heat until steaming hot).
Prep the flavor base: While the water heats, grate the ginger and juice the lemon.
