These mint chocolate bars are the perfect balance of fudgy chocolate base, mint frosting, and a glossy chocolate topping. They’re easy to make, with the option to choose between flourless or flour-included versions. Ideal for mint chocolate lovers, these bars offer a rich, indulgent treat with a refreshing mint twist.
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flouroptional for flour version
- 1/4 tsp salt
**Mint Frosting**:
- 1/2 cup unsalted buttersoftened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp peppermint extract
- Green food coloringoptional
**Chocolate Topping**:
- 4 oz unsweetened chocolatemelted
- 1/4 cup unsalted buttermelted
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, melted butter, and granulated sugar until smooth.
Stir in the peppermint extract and melted chocolate. If using flour, add the flour and salt, and fold everything together until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the bars cool completely in the pan.
While the bars are cooling, make the mint frosting. Beat softened butter, powdered sugar, and peppermint extract until light and fluffy. Add a drop of green food coloring if desired.
Spread the mint frosting over the cooled bars.
In a separate bowl, melt chocolate and butter together to make the topping. Once smooth, pour it over the mint frosting and spread evenly.
Chill the bars in the fridge for about 1 hour to allow the topping to set.
