  • - 7 oz 200g marzipan, grated or finely chopped
  • - ½ cup 100g granulated sugar
  • - 1 large egg white
  • - ½ tsp almond extract
  • - ½ cup 60g all-purpose flour
  • - ½ tsp baking powder
  • - ¼ tsp salt
  • - ¼ cup 30g powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • - ½ cup sliced almonds optional, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to **325°F (165°C)** and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the grated marzipan, granulated sugar, and egg white. Mix until smooth.
  • Add the almond extract and mix again.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the marzipan mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  • Roll the dough into small balls (about 1-inch in diameter) and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Lightly press each ball with your fingers or the back of a spoon. Optionally, press a few sliced almonds on top.
  • Bake for **12-15 minutes**, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  • Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
